- Ardchattan Priory – first right on A828 after Connel Bridge, then 5 miles. Ruins, carvings, gardens and seasonal tearoom. 01796 481355 Open all year.
- Oban Distillery and Visitor Centre, Stafford Street, Oban. Set in the heart of Oban. See the distillers at work, try a complementary dram. Oban is one of the six ‘Classic Malts of Scotland’. 01631 564262.
- The Ben Nevis Distillery and Visitor Centre, Lochy Bridge, Fort William. Take the A828 to Fort William and you’ll get a warm welcome at The Ben Nevis Distillery! Join the tour and sample the ‘Dew of Ben Nevis’. 01397 702476.
- Argyll Pottery, Barcaldine, Near Oban. A828 at Barcaldine. Range of tableware and individual pieces. All pots are hand-made. Closed Sundays. On the premises from stoneware clay fired in a wood-fired kiln. 01631 720503.
- Kranenburg & Fowler, Star Brae, Oban. We recommend this gallery which is just off Argyll Square, for striking, contemporary Scottish Art. 01631 562303. Closed Sundays.
